 |  Terry Shirvani received his doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine from the National College of Naturopathic Medicine, Portland, OR, in 1995. Dr. Shirvani is committed to empowering his patients in their healing process and has built his practice on a foundation of health care education. He is passionate about Ayurvedic Medicine and has led seminars and workshops on Ayurveda for nearly 10 years. In addition, Dr. Shirvani has spoken internationally on topics such as Clinical Nutrition, Homeopathy, Chinese Medicine, and the Enneagram. An accomplished musician and songwriter, he is exploring the healing power of music through composing and integrating music-as-medicine into his practice.
Dr. Shirvani has dedicated his life to the service of humanity and is relentless in the pursuit of breakthroughs in what is possible for human being. Inside this commitment, he is pioneering a new paradigm of medicine-one in which people are whole and complete as they are, with barriers to the expression and experience of wholeness. Dr. Shirvani works with his patients to remove these barriers through powerful healing modalities, practices, and remedies that transform mind, body, and spirit.
In June of 2004, Dr. Shirvani was invited to be a practitioner at the Chopra Center at La Costa Resort and Spa. Prior to joining the Chopra Center, he was a Research Scientist and Product Developer at Natural Alternatives International in San Marcos, California, where he was instrumental in formulating several nutritional supplement lines, including the Chopra Center Essentials. Dr. Shirvani has also served as an instructor at the Natural Healing Institute in Encinitas, California and was Professor of Clinical Science and Clinical Research at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego, California. He is currently authoring his first book, The Secrets of Self-Healing, to be published in 2006.
